The kit is a Sandwich enzyme immunoassay for in vitro quantitative measurement of DEFbeta2/DEFB2 in serum, plasma and other biological fluids. Detection Range: 62.5--4000pg/mL. Sensitivity: 37.5pg/mL. Protein function: Exhibits antimicrobial activity against Gram-negative bacteria and Gram-positive bacteria. May act as a ligand for C-C chemokine receptor CCR6. Can bind to both human and mouse CCR6 and induce chemotactic activity of CCR6-expressing cells (PubMed:20068036). [The UniProt Consortium]
