Substance P (7-11) is a peptide fragment of substance P (Cay-24035). It is formed from substance P via hydrolysis by neutral endopeptidase. Substance P (7-11) (>1 µM) increases collagenase and prostaglandin E2 (PGE2, Cay-14041) production in isolated bovine articular chondrocytes. It increases intracellular calcium levels in isolated bovine chondrocytes when used at concentrations ranging from 0. to 10 µM.
