Pantinin-1

Description: Pantinin-1 is an antimicrobial peptide found in the venom of the emperor scorpion (Pandinus imperator). This compound exhibits strong antibacterial activity against Gram-positive bacteria and fungi, but has weaker effects on Gram-negative bacteria. Additionally, Pantinin-1 demonstrates very low hemolytic activity on human red blood cells and possesses anticancer properties, specifically inducing apoptosis in tumor cells.
