IFN-alpha receptor recognition peptide 1 (IRRP1) is a peptide that corresponds to amino acids 52-58 of full-length IFN-alpha and is a positive modulator of IFN-alpha/beta receptor 1 (IFNAR). It increases the binding capacity of Daudi cells for IFN-alpha2. IRRP1 (1 µg/ml) enhances the antiproliferative effect of IFN-alpha in T98G glial cells and enhances the antiviral effect of IFN-alpha in encephalomyocarditis virus-infected T98G cells.
