Pool of 234 overlapping peptides derived from a peptide scan (15mers with 11 aa overlap) through Epstein-Barr nuclear antigen 3 (EBNA3a) (UniProt ID: P12977) of Epstein-Barr virus (HHV4) for T cell assays. One unit allows the stimulation of 2,5 x 10^8 cells. Protein function: Plays an essential role for activation and immortalization of human B-cells. Represses transcription of viral promoters TP1 and Cp through interaction with host RBPJ, and inhibits EBNA2-mediated activation of these promoters. Since Cp is the promoter for all EBNA mRNAs, EBNA3A probably contributes to a negative autoregulatory control loop. [The UniProt Consortium]
