ACTH (1-4) (trifluoroacetate salt)

ACTH (1-4) is an N-terminal peptide fragment of adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH, Cay-24257). It potentiates natriuresis induced by arginine vasopressin (argipressin, Cay-24154) in cats when administered at a dose of 20 nmol/kg. Intracerebroventricular administration of ACTH (1-4) (3 µg/animal) potentiates excessive grooming induced by alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (alpha-MSH, Cay-29923) in rats.
