DYKDDDDK peptide is a synthetic octapeptide and fusion tag. It can be added to the N- or C-terminus of proteins or inserted into the protein sequence and later cleaved using enteropeptidase. Due to its hydrophilicity, it has a low potential to interfere with protein folding or activity.
