Product information "CART, aa55-102 Control Peptide (Cocaine and Amphetamine Related Transcript, CARP)"
CART has been found to control satiety modulating the actions of two key regulators of food intake, leptin and NPY. Starvation decreases CART levels in the arcuate nucleus (3). Obese animals have virtually no CART. CART inhibits both normal and starvation-induced feeding, and completely inhibits NPY-induced feeding. Immunoneutralization of CART by administration of anti-CART resulted into higher food intake suggesting that CART is an endogenous regulator of food intake. Control peptide for C1386-50. Mouse/rat CART peptide (55-102). Recognizes Cocaine and Amphetamine Related Transcript (CART). Species Reactivity: Rat and Mouse, the peptide is 100% conserved in mouse and rat. Application(s): , ELISA: 1:10,000-1:50,000 using 50-100ng control peptide per well.
