Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor, Recombinant, Mouse (VEGF-A)

VEGF-A, also known as vascular endothelial growth factor, belong to the VEGF family that mediate angiogenesis. This protein is produced by diverse cell types, including aortic vascular smooth muscle cells, keratinocytes, macrophages and many tumor cells. VEGF-A has important roles in mammalian vascular development and in diseases involving abnormal growth of blood vessels such as tumor-related angiogenesis. Recombinant VEGF-A protein was expressed in E. coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques. Source: Recombinant mouse VEGF, aa205-324, His-tagged, expressed in E. coli. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
