Product information "Interleukin-4 (Il4), partial (Active), mouse, recombinant"
Organism: Mus musculus (Mouse). Source: E.coli. Expression Region: 23-140aa. Protein Length: Partial. Tag Info: Tag-Free. Target Protein Sequence: HGCDKNHLRE IIGILNEVTG EGTPCTEMDV PNVLTATKNT TESELVCRAS KVLRIFYLKH GKTPCLKKNS SVLMELQRLF RAFRCLDSSI SCTMNESKST SLKDFLESLK SIMQMDYS. Purity: Greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Endotoxin: Less than 1.0 EU/µg as determined by LAL method. Biological Activity: The ED50 as determined in a cell proliferation assay using M-NFS-60 mouse lymphoblast cells is 0.01 ng/ml. Form: Lyophilized powder. Buffer: Lyophilized from a 0.2 µm filtered solution of 20mM PB, 300mM NaCl, 5% Trehalose, pH 6.5. Reconstitution: We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20 °C/-80 °C. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference. Storage: The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself. Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20 °C/-80 °C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20 °C/-80 °C. Notes: Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4 °C for up to one week. Relevance: Mouse Interleukin-4(IL-4) is a monomeric, Th2 cytokine that shows pleiotropic effects during immune responses. It is a glycosylated polypeptide that contains three intrachain disulfide bridges and adopts a bundled four alphahelix structure. IL4 exerts its effects through two receptor complexes, Participates in at least several B-cell activation processes as well as of other cell types. IL4 is primarily expressed by Th2biased CD4+T cells, mast cells, basophils, and eosinophils. It promotes cell proliferation, survival, and immunoglobulin class switch to IgG1 and IgE in mouse B cells, acquisition of the Th2 phenotype by naïve CD4+T cells, priming and chemotaxis of mast cells, eosinophils, and basophils, and the proliferation and activation of epithelial cells. IL4 plays a dominant role in the development of allergic inflammation and asthma. It also regulates the expression of the low affinity Fc receptor for IgE (CD23) on both lymphocytes and monocytes. Reference: n/a. Function: Participates in at least several B-cell activation processes as well as of other cell types
