Interleukin-1 beta is produced with no animal-derived raw products, animal free equipment and animal free protocols. Purity was determined to be greater than 97% as determined by HPLC, analysis by UV-Spectroscopy at 280nm, and by reducing and non-reducing SDS-PAGE. Protein function: Potent proinflammatory cytokine. Initially discovered as the major endogenous pyrogen, induces prostaglandin synthesis, neutrophil influx and activation, T-cell activation and cytokine production, B-cell activation and antibody production, and fibroblast proliferation and collagen production. Promotes Th17 differentiation of T-cells. [The UniProt Consortium]
