Human HGF, recombinant

Hepatocyte growth factor (HGF) is a multifunctional factor secreted by mesenchymal cells. It stimulates the growth of a variety of epithelial, endothelial, and mesenchymal cells, as well as angiogenesis and immunomodulatory activity, and promotes cell proliferation, mobility, and invasion. Mature HGF molecules have a heterodimeric structure consisting of an alpha chain with a molecular weight of 53.7 KDa and an beta chain with a molecular weight of 26 KDa. HGF regulates cell growth, migration, and morphogenesis by activating the tyrosine kinase signaling cascade after binding to the c-Met receptor. HGF plays a central role in angiogenesis, tumorigenesis, and tissue regeneration due to its ability to stimulate mitosis, cell motility, and stromal invasion. Recombinant Human HGF is expressed by mammalian cells, and is produced with raw materials of pharmaceutical applicable level.
