INT-131 is a partial agonist of peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma (PPARgamma). It binds to PPARgamma (IC50 = 0. µM) and induces PPARgamma transactivation in HEK293 cells expressing the human receptor (EC50 = 0. µM). INT-131 (30 mg/kg) reduces blood glucose and insulin levels in KKAy diabetic mice. It reduces brain levels of TNF-alpha, IL-1beta, chemokine (C-C motif) ligand 3 (CCL3), and complement C3 in a mouse model of ecotropic HIV-1 infection.. Solulibility: DMSO: Sparingly soluble: 1-10 mg/ml: Ethanol: Slightly soluble: 0.1-1 mg/ml.
