A Bcl-xL inhibitor (Ki = 0.8 nM), selective for Bcl-xL over Bcl-2 (Ki = 67 nM), decreases the proliferation of NCI H146, MOLT-4, and CCRF CEM cells in serum-free media (IC50s = 0.35, 0.74, and 0.21 µM, respectively), reduces tumor growth at 100 mg/kg per day in combination with paclitaxel in an A549 lung cancer mouse xenograft model.
