Anti-phospho-Neuromodulin (GAP43) (Ser41)

Anti-GAP43 pS41 antibody was affinity purified from monospecific antiserum by immunoaffinity purification. This antibody is specific for the phosphorylated forms of the protein. Immunolabeling is completely eliminated by treatment with ?-Ptase. Cross reactivity with GAP43 from other species has not been determined, however, the sequence of the immunogen shows 100% homolgy to bovine, canine, chicken, finch, human, mouse, non-human primates, Xenopus and zebra fish. Protein function: This protein is associated with nerve growth. It is a major component of the motile "growth cones" that form the tips of elongating axons.
