Product information "UBE2D1, Recombinant, Human, aa1-147, His-tag (Ubiquitin-conjugating Enzyme E2-D1, Ubiquitin-protein"
UBE2D1 belongs to the ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme family. Ubiquitination involves at least three classes of enzymes: ubiquitin-activating enzymes, or E1s, ubiquitin-conjugating enzymes, or E2s, and ubiquitin-protein ligases, or E3s. This gene encodes a member of the E2 ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme family. UBE2D1 is closely related to a stimulator of iron transport (SFT), and is up-regulated in hereditary hemochromatosis. It also functions in the ubiquitination of the tumor-suppressor protein p53 and the hypoxia-inducible transcription factor HIF1alpha by interacting with the E1 ubiquitin-activating enzyme and the E3 ubiquitin-protein ligases. Purified by using conventional chromatography. Source: Recombinant corresponding to aa1-147 of human UBE2D1, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, expressed in E.coli. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
