Human MetAP1D, recombinant (N, C-6His)

Recombinant Human Methionine Aminopeptidase 1D Mitochondrial is produced by our E.coli expression system and the target gene encoding Arg44-Ala335 is expressed with a 6His tag at the N-terminus, 6His tag at the C-terminus. Protein function: Removes the N-terminal methionine from nascent proteins. The N-terminal methionine is often cleaved when the second residue in the primary sequence is small and uncharged (Met-Ala-, Cys, Gly, Pro, Ser, Thr, or Val). Requires deformylation of the N(alpha)-formylated initiator methionine before it can be hydrolyzed. May play a role in colon tumorigenesis. [The UniProt Consortium]
