Description: Modifies the functions of natural killer cells, monocytes and granulocytes. Inhibits C5a-dependent neutrophil enzyme release and chemotaxis. Capable of killing E.coli but not S.aureus in vitro, digests outer membrane protein A (ompA) in E.coli and K.pneumoniae. ELANE Protein, Human, Recombinant (GST) is expressed in E. coli expression system with N-GST tag. The predicted molecular weight is 52.6 kDa and the accession number is P08246.
