4-Methylumbelliferyl-alpha-D-glucopyranoside is a fluorogenic substrate for alpha-glucosidase.... more
Product information "4-Methylumbelliferyl-alpha-D-Glucopyranoside"
4-Methylumbelliferyl-alpha-D-glucopyranoside is a fluorogenic substrate for alpha-glucosidase. 4-Methylumbelliferyl-alpha-D-glucopyranoside is cleaved by alpha-glucosidase to release the fluorescent moiety 4-methylumbelliferyl (4-MU). 4-MU fluorescence is pH-dependent with excitation maxima of 320 and 360 nm at low (1.97-6.72) and high pH (7.12-10.3), respectively, and an emission maximum ranging from 445 to 455 nm, increasing as pH decreases. 4-Methylumbelliferyl-alpha-D-glucopyranoside has been used to quantify alpha-glucosidase activity in infant blood spot samples as a biomarker of Fabry and Pompe diseases, lysosomal storage disorders characterized by a deficiency in the enzyme.Formal Name: 7-(alpha-D-glucopyranosyloxy)-4-methyl-2H-1-benzopyran-2-one. CAS Number: 17833-43-1. Synonyms: 4-Methylumbelliferyl-alpha-D-Glucose, 4-Methylumbelliferyl-alpha-D-Glucoside, 4-MU-alpha-D-Glucopyranoside. Molecular Formula: C16H18O8. Formula Weight: 338.3. Purity: >95%. Emission: 445 to 455 nM, increasing as pH decreases. Excitation: 320 and 360 nm at low (1.97-6.72) and high (7.12-10.3) pH, respectively. Formulation: (Request formulation change), A crystalline solid. Solubility: DMF: 5 mg/ml, DMSO: 50 mg/ml. lambdamax: 217, 318 nm. SMILES: OC[C@@H]1[C@@H](O)[C@H](O)[C@@H](O)[C@@H](OC2=CC=C(C(C)=CC(O3)=O)C3=C2)O1. InChi Code: InChI=1S/C16H18O8/c1-7-4-12(18)23-10-5-8(2-3-9(7)10)22-16-15(21)14(20)13(19)11(6-17)24-16/h2-5,11,13-17,19-21H,6H2,1H3/t11-,13-,14+,15-,16+/m1/s1. InChi Key: YUDPTGPSBJVHCN-JZYAIQKZSA-N.
