UGO 550 is a novel fluorescent label related to the well-known dye Rhodamine 6G. Designed for life science applications, it is well-suited for labeling DNA, RNA, and proteins. UGO 550 features strong absorption, high fluorescence quantum yield, excellent thermal and photostability, and minimal triplet formation. These properties make it highly suitable for single-molecule detection and high-resolution microscopy. UGO 550 is a cationic dye with a net charge of +1. As supplied, it consists of three isomers with identical absorption and fluorescence properties. Chemical Properties Storage Upon receipt, store at -20°C in the dark. Protect from light and moisture. When stored as indicated, UGO NHS-esters are stable for at least 3 years.
