A non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor, inhibits HIV-1 wild-type RT (IC50 = 0.017 µM) and RTL100I, RTE138R, RTY181C, RTY188H (IC50s = 0.43, 0.22, 2.5, and 0.2 µM, respectively), delays p27 antigenemia and the appearance of anti-SIV antibodies in rhesus monkeys infected with transgenic SIV expressing HIV-1 RT at 5 mg/kg, active against T. gondii (IC50 = 18.89 µM).
