Rezatapopt is a reactivator of p53 containing a tyrosine-to-cysteine substitution at position 220 (p53Y220C). It increases p53Y220C DNA binding by 1.5-fold in a time-resolved FRET (TR-FRET) assay when used at a concentration of 9 nM. Rezatapopt decreases the proliferation of NUGC-3 gastric carcinoma cells (IC50 = 504 nM).
