A peptide antagonist of the NK2B receptor (pA2 = 7.63), selective for the NK2B receptor over NK1, NK2A, and NK3 receptors (pA2s = <5, 5.41, and <5, respectively), intracerebroventricular administration inhibits NKA- but not substance P-induced increases in mean arterial blood pressure, heart rate, face washing, and grooming in conscious rats at 650 pmol/animal
