PE154 is an inhibitor of acetylcholinesterase (AChE) and butyrylcholinesterase (BChE, IC50s = 0. and 16 nM, respectively). It is also a fluorescent probe for amyloid-ß (Aß) plaques that displays excitation and emission maxima of 405 and 517 nm, respectively.
