DS12881479 is an inhibitor of MAP kinase-interacting serine/threonine protein kinase 1 (MNK1, IC50s = 21 and 416 nM for the inactive and active forms, respectively). It is selective for MNK1 over 46 other kinases but does inhibit FMS-related tyrosine kinase 3 (FLT3) and dual-specificity tyrosine phosphorylation-regulated kinase 1A (DYRK1A) at 5 µM.
