Des-4-fluorobenzyl Mosapride is the primary metabolite of mosapride. Mosapride is a gastroprokinetic agent that enhances upper GI motility by activating serotonin receptor 4 (5-HT4, EC50 = 74.2 nM, in guinea pig ileal longitudinal muscle myenteric plexus). Mosapride increases canine, equine, and guinea pig colonic motility in vivo.
