BSA-Semaglutide Complex (1.67 mM)

BSA-Semaglutide Complex (1.67 mM) is composed of semaglutide and fatty acid-free bovine serum albumin (BSA) at an approximately 2:1 molar ratio of semaglutide:BSA. It was prepared under sterile conditions, then filtered and aliquoted into sterile vials. In vivo, semaglutide binds to albumin, delaying its degradation and clearance and increasing its half-life while reducing the pool of free semaglutide available to bind to the glucagon-like peptide 1 receptor (GLP-1R). Cayman's BSA-Semaglutide Complex (1.67 mM) can be used for the delivery of semaglutide to cells in culture without the use of harsh reagents that may be needed to increase its solubility. Cayman's BSA-Semaglutide Complex (1.67 mM) is suitable for use in short- and long-term cell culture applications (25+ hours). For best results, it is recommended that this product be used in conjunction with Cayman's BSA Control for BSA-Fatty Acid Complexes (5 mM) (Cay-29556), prepared with fatty acid-free BSA.
