BATCP

BATCP is a fluorogenic substrate for histone deacetylase 6 (HDAC6) and sirtuin 1 (SIRT1). Upon enzymatic cleavage by HDAC6 or SIRT1, 7-amino-4-trifluoromethylcoumarin (AFC) is released and its fluorescence can be used to quantify HDAC6 or SIRT1 activity. AFC displays excitation/emission maxima of 400/505 nm, respectively, but can be excited across a broad range of wavelengths..
