ATPA is an agonist of ionotropic glutamate receptor 5 (GluR5/GluK1, Ki = 0.0043 µM). It is selective for GluR5 over GluR1-4 (Kis = 6-14 µM), as well as GluR6 (Ki = >1,000 µM).
