Polymyxin B2 (sulfate)

Polymyxin B2 is an antibiotic and a major constituent of the cationic lipopeptide antibiotic polymyxin B (Cay-14157) originally isolated from B. polymyxa. It is active against P. aeruginosa, A. baumannii, K. pneumoniae, and E. cloacae strains (MICs = 1-2, 0.5-1, 0.25-0.5, and 0.25-1 µg/ml, respectively).
