Plasma
Blood plasma represents the cell-free portion of blood and, unlike blood serum, still contains all clotting factors. To prevent clotting, Research Donors offers a range of different anticoagulants (citrate-phosphate-dextrose (CPD), lithium heparin, K2-EDTA, K3-EDTA or sodium citrate). Blood plasma can be used for a wide variety of research fields due to the protein spectrum present, as well as the content of degradation products such as creatinine, troponin or metabolites of cell metabolism.
