Product information "Human FPR1 (Formyl Peptide Receptor 1) ELISA Kit"
The test principle applied in this kit is Sandwich enzyme immunoassay. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Human FPR1. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells then with a biotin-conjugated antibody specific to Human FPR1. Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. After TMB substrate solution is added, only those wells that contain Human FPR1, biotin-conjugated antibody and enzyme-conjugated Avidin will exhibit a change in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450nm ± 10nm. The concentration of Human FPR1 in the samples is then determined by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve. Protein Function: High affinity receptor for N-formyl-methionyl peptides (fMLP), which are powerful neutrophil chemotactic factors (PubMed:10514456, PubMed:15153520, PubMed:2161213, PubMed:2176894). Binding of fMLP to the receptor stimulates intracellular calcium mobilization and superoxide anion release (PubMed:15153520, PubMed:15210802, PubMed:1712023, PubMed:2161213). This response is mediated via a G-protein that activates a phosphatidylinositol-calcium second messenger system (PubMed:10514456, PubMed:1712023). Receptor for TAFA4, mediates its effects on chemoattracting macrophages, promoting phagocytosis and increasing ROS release (PubMed:25109685). Receptor for cathepsin CTSG, leading to increased phagocyte chemotaxis (PubMed:15210802) [The Uniprot Consortium]
