Product Description: IFNA2 is a gene that encodes the interferon alpha 2 protein, which is a member of the type I interferon family. This cytokine is produced in response to viral infection as part of the innate immune response and has potent antiviral, antiproliferative, and immunomodulatory properties.The IFNA2 protein binds to the IFNAR1 and IFNAR2 receptor subunits, which are ubiquitously expressed, allowing it to act on virtually all body cells.
