DGKZ contains a conserved catalytic domain and is characterized by its ability to modulate intracellular signaling pathways, particularly those involving protein kinase C (PKC). By regulating DAG levels, DGKZ plays a crucial role in various cellular processes, including cell growth, differentiation, and apoptosis.
