The encoded protein, which directly binds to pituitary tumor-transforming protein-1 (PTTG1), facilitates the nuclear translocation of PTTG1 and potentiates the transcriptional activation of basic fibroblast growth factor by PTTG1. The gene product localizes to both the cytoplasm and nucleus. Its NLS is required for its own nuclear localization, the nuclear localization of PTTG1, and its interaction with PTTG1. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:10,000, Western Blot: 1:500-1:1000, Immunohistochemistry (Formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 5ug/ml, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
