Anti-FTO (Fatso, Fat Mass and Obesity-associated Protein, Protein Fatso)

Variants in the FTO (fat mass and obesity associated) gene, encoding for protein, fatso, are associated with increased body mass index and obesity in humans. The precise function of this protein remains to be determined. There are four isoforms produced by alternative splicing (FASTA: FTO isoform 1, 2, 3, and 4). Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:128,000, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
