The Gastrin Releasing Peptide is released by the vagus nerve and stimulates the G cells of the stomach to release gasatrin. It also plays a role in the signaling of light to the hypothalmus. GRP regulates tumor proliferation and metastasis in a number of gastrointestinal cancers.
