Product information "Human Red Blood Cell Depletion Microbubbles"
Akadeum's Human Red Blood Cell Depletion Microbubbles are designed to clean up samples with residual erythrocyte contamination, including human whole blood samples following RBC lysis or Ficoll isolation. Use of these microbubbles to remove residual RBC contamination prior to flow sorting can reduce final sort times by as much as one-third, helping to isolate more cells for better science., , Mechanism of Action: Akadeum's Human Red Blood Cell Depletion Microbubbles employ a monoclonal murine IgG against the human RBC glycophorin-A sialoglycoprotein (CD235a). CD235a's high specificity for human erythrocytes, and its high density on RBC surfaces, make it an excellent affinity molecule for capture., , How it works: Akadeum's Human RBC Microbubbles are gently mixed into the sample where they bind to the contaminating RBCs. Using their inherent buoyancy, the microbubbles quickly and gently float the unwanted cells to the surface. An optional centrifugation step pellets the cells of interest, and the microbubbles, microbubble-bound RBCs, and supernatant are simply aspirated away leaving the untouched and enriched cells behind, happy, healthy, and ready for downstream use., , . Cell Type: Targeted removal of human RBCs, , . Sample Species and Source: Human whole blood or bone marrow aspirate, , . Cell Separation Method: Depletion, , . Capacity: 1 ml of microbubbles to deplete up to 50 million human RBCs, , Kit Includes:, , . 1 ml Human RBC Depletion Microbubbles, , . Separation Buffer (Ca2+ and Mg2+ free PBS containing 2 mM EDTA, 0.5% biotin-free BSA)
