Eosin-labeled insulin is a fluorogenic substrate for thioredoxin. Upon reduction by thioredoxin, eosin is released and its fluorescence can be used to quantify thioredoxin activity. Eosin displays excitation/emission maxima of 520/545 nm, respectively. This product is also available as part of Cayman's Thioredoxin Fluorometric Assay Kit (Cay-11527).Emission: 545 nm. Excitation: 520 nm. Formulation: Lyophilized fluorescent substrate.
