BPP Bioportide(TM) 10x Exploration Kit for Transformation of Fungi

BPP Bioportides(TM) are novel multi-functional designer proteins that bind quickly, spontaneously, reversibly, and robustly nucleic acids and transport them across the host's cell membrane utilizing a specialized cell-penetrating-peptide moiety. This domain is designed differently for each BPP Bioportide(TM), depending on which type of host cell is to be addressed. The BPP Bioportide(TM) 10x Exploration Kit for Transformation of fungi provides a ready-to-use system for transformation of various types of fungi. The kit contains ten different BPP Bioportides(TM), whose cell penetrating part has been specially designed and adapted for the transformation of fungi. The BPP Bioportide(TM) enables the transport of nucleic acids, ranging from 22 nt to >10 kb, into cells. Both RNA and DNA, including single- and double-stranded, linear or circular forms, can be transferred reliably. This innovative reagent facilitates the uptake of nucleic acids without requiring inducing cell stress, i.e. heat shock, or competent cells, i.e. by means of electroporation or chemical treatment. BPP Bioportides(TM) show robust performance in extreme environments (up to 80°C, pH > 9.0, high salt concentrations).
