Protein function: ZNHIT1 belongs to the ZNHIT1 family and contains one HIT-type zinc finger. It can be phosphorylated on Thr by MAPK11 or MAPK14. ZNHIT1 is a component of the chromatin-remodeling SRCAP complex, which is composed of at least SRCAP, DMAP, RUVBL1, RUVBL2, ACTL6A, YEATS4, ACTR6 and ZNHIT1. ZNHIT1 may play a role in p53-mediated apoptosis induction. Protein function: Seems to play a role in p53-mediated apoptosis induction.
