Vesicle Associated Membrane Protein 4, Recombinant Human (VAMP4)

VAMP4, also known as vesicle-associated membrane protein 4, is a member of the synaptobrevin family involved in docking and/or fusion of vesicles with cell membrane. This protein is enriched in the trans-Golgi network and may play a role in trans-Golgi network-to-endosome transport. VAMP4 is involved in the pathway that functions to remove an inhibitor (probably synaptotagmin-4) of calcium-triggered exocytosis during the maturation of secretory granules. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
