VCAM-1 is a cell surface sialoglycoprotein expressed by cytokine activated endothelium. The protein has a number of functions including the regulation of leukocyte migration, leukocyte-endothelial cell adhesion and signal transduction. VCAM-1 may also play a role in a number of inflammatory diseases. RANDOX recombinant VCAM fragment comprises a 203 amino acid fragment (109-311) corresponding to the Ig-like C2 type domains 2 and 3 and is expressed in E. coli with an amino-terminal hexahistidine tag. This product is for research use only and is not intended for diagnostic or therapeutic use.
