Recombinant Streptomyces Hygroscopicus Phosphinothricin N-acetyltransferase is produced by our E.coli expression system and the target gene encoding Met1-Ile183 is expressed. Protein function: Inactivates phosphinothricin (PPT) by transfer of an acetyl group from acetyl CoA. Can also acetylate demethylphosphinothricin but not PTT or glutamate. This enzyme is an effector of phosphinothricin tripeptide (PTT or bialaphos) resistance. [The UniProt Consortium]
