Ribonuclease T1 is an endonuclease which cleaves RNA or deaminated RNA between guanosine and inosine 3'-phosphate residues and the 5'-hydroxy residues of adjacent nucleotides with the formation of the corresponding intermediate 2', 3'-cyclic phosphates. Quality Control: Certified free of contaminating non-specific endo-nuclease, exo-nuclease and ribonuclease, Activity: >300,000 units/mg protein, Protein Assay: As reported, Unit Definition: One unit releases the equivalent of one unit A260 of acid-soluble products from yeast RNA in 15 minutes at 37°C at pH 7.5. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at 4°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after recepit at 4°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
