iMatrix-221 is a recombinant human laminin-221 E8 fragment expressed by CHO-S cells. Laminin-221 is abundant in basement membranes surrounding cardiac and skeletal muscle cells, and binds to the cell membrane receptor integrin 7X21. iMatrix-221 can also be used together with AMSBIO's StemFit cell culture media and CELLBANKER cryopreservation series as part of an expanded Stem Cell Synergy solution for ES/iPS cell cultures.
