Product information "Profilin-2/PFN2 Protein (recombinant human)"
Protein Construction: Recombinant Human Profilin-2 is produced by our E.coli expression system and the target gene encoding Met1-Phe140 is expressed. Sequence: Met 1-Phe140. Endotoxin: < 1.0 EU per µg as determined by the LAL method. Apparent Molecular Mass: 14 kDa. Protein function: Profilin-II (PFN2) is ubiquitous protein which belongs to the profilin family. PFN2 binds to actin, thenaffects the structure of the cytoskeleton. At high concentrations, profiling prevents the polymerization of actin, while increases that at low concentrations. PFN2 is a ubiquitous actin monomer-binding protein. It regulates actin polymerization in response to extra cellular signals. PFN2 binds to PIP2, it inhibits the formation of IP3 and DG. Protein function: Binds to actin and affects the structure of the cytoskeleton. At high concentrations, profilin prevents the polymerization of actin, whereas it enhances it at low concentrations. By binding to PIP2, it inhibits the formation of IP3 and DG. [The UniProt Consortium]
