Product information "Plasminogen Activator Inhibitor 1/PAI-1/SERPIN E1 Protein(C-6His) (recombinant mouse)"
Protein Construction: Recombinant Mouse Plasminogen activator inhibitor is produced by our Mammalian expression system and the target gene encoding Leu24-Ser402 is expressed with a 6His tag at the C-terminus. Sequence: Leu24-Ser402. Fusion tag: C-6His Endotoxin: < 1.0 EU per µg as determined by the LAL method. Apparent Molecular Mass: 50kDa. Protein function: Plasminogen activator inhibitor-1 (serpin E1) is a serine protease inhibitor which belongs to the serpin family. Serpin E1 acts as 'bait' for tissue plasminogen activator, urokinase, protein C and matriptase-3/TMPRSS7. Its rapid interaction with PLAT may function as a major control point in the regulation of fibrinolysis. Protein function: Serine protease inhibitor. Inhibits TMPRSS7. Is a primary inhibitor of tissue-type plasminogen activator (PLAT) and urokinase-type plasminogen activator (PLAU). As PLAT inhibitor, it is required for fibrinolysis down-regulation and is responsible for the controlled degradation of blood clots. As PLAU inhibitor, it is involved in the regulation of cell adhesion and spreading. Acts as a regulator of cell migration, independently of its role as protease inhibitor. It is required for stimulation of keratinocyte migration during cutaneous injury repair. Involved in cellular and replicative senescence (PubMed:16862142). Plays a role in alveolar type 2 cells senescence in the lung (PubMed:28722352). Is involved in the regulation of cementogenic differentiation of periodontal ligament stem cells, and regulates odontoblast differentiation and dentin formation during odontogenesis.
