Phosphomannomutase 1/PMM1 Protein(C-6His) (recombinant human)

Protein Construction: Recombinant Human Phosphomannomutase 1 is produced by our E.coli expression system and the target gene encoding Met1-Ala262 is expressed with a 6His tag at the C-terminus. Sequence: Met 1-Ala262. Fusion tag: C-6His Endotoxin: < 1.0 EU per µg as determined by the LAL method. Apparent Molecular Mass: 49 kDa. Protein function: Phosphomannomutase 1 (PMM1) blongs to the eukaryotic PMM family. Phosphomannomutase 1 can catalyzes the conversion between D-mannose 6-phosphate and D-mannose 1-phosphate which is a substrate for GDP-mannose synthesis. GDP-mannose is used for synthesis of dolichol-phosphate-mannose which required for a number of critical mannosyl transfer reactions. PMM1 is highly expressed in liver, heart, brain, and pancreas, but lower expression in skeletal muscle. In addition, PMM1 may be responsible for the degradation of glucose-1,6 bisphosphate in ischemic brain. Protein function: Involved in the synthesis of the GDP-mannose and dolichol-phosphate-mannose required for a number of critical mannosyl transfer reactions.
