Protein Construction: Recombinant Human Protein Kinase C and Casein Kinase Substrate in Neurons... more
Product information "PACSIN2/Syndapin-2 Protein(C-6His) (recombinant human)"
Protein Construction: Recombinant Human Protein Kinase C and Casein Kinase Substrate in Neurons Protein 2 is produced by our Mammalian expression system and the target gene encoding Met1-Gln486 is expressed with a 6His tag at the C-terminus. Sequence: Met 1-Gln486. Fusion tag: C-6His Endotoxin: < 1.0 EU per µg as determined by the LAL method. Apparent Molecular Mass: 88 kDa. Protein function: Protein Kinase C and Casein Kinase Substrate in Neurons Protein 2 (PACSIN2) is a member of the PACSIN family. PACSIN2 is localized to the plasma membrane via its coiled-coil domain. PACSIN2 is widely expressed and contains one FCH domain and one SH3 domain. PACSIN2 forms homo- and hetero-aggregates with other PACSINs. PACSIN2 may play a role in vesicle formation and transport. In addition, PACSIN2 is involved in linking the actin cytoskeleton with vesicle formation by regulating tubulin polymerization. Protein function: Lipid-binding protein that is able to promote the tubulation of the phosphatidic acid-containing membranes it preferentially binds. Plays a role in intracellular vesicle- mediated transport. Involved in the endocytosis of cell-surface receptors like the EGF receptor, contributing to its internalization in the absence of EGF stimulus. May also play a role in the formation of caveolae at the cell membrane. Recruits DNM2 to caveolae, and thereby plays a role in caveola-mediated endocytosis. [The UniProt Consortium]
